Labor Day Events

Labor Day weekend is upon us. This year we have multiple events planned.

Saturday August 30th 6:30pm: Community Chicken BBQ! Once again Grant and Nancy Causton will be grilling up chicken and Scott Silver will be boiling up corn on the cob. Come join us for some community elbow rubbing and bring:

Last Names starting with A-M: Salads/Sides

Last Names starting with N-Z: Desserts

(Please bring enough to feed your entire group so there is enough to go around.)

Sunday, August 31st 10:00am: Annual Community meeting. Come and let your voice be heard and vote on or volunteer to be a board member. All are welcome.

Pool Update

We hope you have been to see the new and improved swimming pools. They really are beautiful.

As a reminder, please be sure to wear your new wristbands when at the pool or using the tennis courts, etc. This lets everyone know that you belong.

Also, please don’t bring any glass, ceramic, etc. into the pool enclosure. This is probably our biggest violation of the state mandated rules. This includes beer bottles in a cooler. If there is breakage, we must drain both pools, clean all areas to be sure of glass removal and then refill. This is very costly and would shut down the pools for some time. And, all costs for this would be charged to the home owner who brought in the glass.

If you see someone with glass please have them remove it from the area.

Annual Dues are Due

Have you paid your annual dues? If not, they are due. You should have received an email with your annual dues statement sometime near the end of January. Please check your spam/junk folders for your statement. If you don’t use email, then you should have received via regular mail. Remember, you won’t be able to pick up your pool tags if your dues have not been paid.

Call or email our bookkeeper if you haven’t received your statement.

Dues should be mailed to: TCA, PO Box 488, Gig Harbor, WA 98335

It’s NOT okay to use the community trash cans to dispose of your garbage. These cans are needed for the disposal of pool trash. Please set up trash pickup from White Pass/Lemay or utilize the Ace Hardware prepaid trash service.

Trash Service available from Ace Hardware:
You can purchase a pre-paid 33 gallon trash bag for $2.50 from the Packwood Ace Hardware store, fill it with trash and dispose of it in their large trash bin, not the recycle bin though.
